Academic Activity:
• Lectures for third and final BDS and MDS students, clinical case discussions for third and final BDS and MDS students
• Conducting seminars, journal club and case discussion for post graduate students
• Guide the PG students in the preparation of synopsis, dissertation, publications and paper/poster presentation during conference
• Conduct of internal assessment and university level examinations, conduct of examinations (BDS and MDS) at other universities


Research Activity:

1. Effect of alkalinisation of local anesthesia with sodium bicarbonate.
2. Prophylactic antibiotic treatment in third molar surgery- a necessity?
3. Comparison of surgical versus conservative management in the treatment of condylar fractures.
4. Hypotensive anesthesia in orthognathic surgery.
5. Comparison and evaluation of role of Dexamethasone and diclofenac sodium in control of post operative pain and swelling – A clinical study.
6. Relationship between the indication for surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molar and incidence of alveolar osteitis.
7. Comparison of monocortical bone plate and 3-D bone plate in terms of displacement to torsional forces and linear tension in fractures of angle of mandible.
8. Radiological and surgical assessment of roots of mandibular third molar to the inferior alveolar canal.
9. Anxiety measurements among dental students undergoing third molar extraction.
10. Evaluation of various surgical approaches to the fractured zygomatico- maxillary complex.
